Three best friends from university, burning brightly on the cusp of adulthood, face a loss that tests and transforms them, in this stunning, inventive debut.

Hannah, Vera, June and Peyton have spent four years of university tying their lives into one happy, inextricable knot. They paper over one another’s flaws, keep each other’s confidences and challenge one another’s assumptions. Whatever comes their way, they know they'll face it together. Until one spring night just before graduation, when an unthinkable accident occurs and the group of four becomes three.

Over the course of that fateful summer, the three remaining girls navigate their grief and attempt to get their adult lives off the ground. One discovers a new romance, a second falls out of love and a third loses herself in dangerous distraction. But after one of them taps into their lost friend’s phone, the group circles closer and closer to a hidden secret waiting to be exposed and a truth that will transform them all.

Laced with wit and woven in ingenious storytelling, Don’t You Miss It is a heart-wrenching, infectious ode to friendship and a reminder that true connection with others is how we come to know ourselves. Julia Pike shows us that sometimes it is our closest friends alone that can keep us moving forward, even when what we really want, more than anything, is to go back.
